one of the best i ever did back in college involved a door too.
you have to pull this on someone who has a roomate who will help you out.
go in the room and remove the hinge pins from the door, and carefully close it.
when the person gets back call their room right before they get to the door so they rush to open it....
the door will come off the hinges and slam to the floor with them on top of it!
now..run!!!!!

i have a vary good door prank i used to do in highschool but there is some level of pain involved but man is it funny.ok you know the larger style doors with the arm hinge at the top of the door,if u bend that arm down like an inch the hinge will get stuck on itself after the door opens like 6 inches and then it will stop dead when it hits the bend.me and my friends would stand on the otherside of the door and watch all the students try and rush through the door @ locker break and lunches the first kid would smack his head off the door and then there would be like 100 other kids running into the back of him.

Since we've switched to door pranks... here's a simple one for the college dorms or even at home. Take a record album sleeve (the giant thick paper kind) and fill it with shaving cream. Slide the open end under the crack of a closed door and jump on the ablum cover filled with shaving creme. This will cover just about everything inside. It works best when no one is in the room that way you don't get chased around the dorm, and the person returns wondering how everything got covered.
