Federal law forbids the resale of cats from a junkyard. My local U-pull guy told me that the fine is $10k, so when people ignore the HUGE signs saying "we don't sell cats, ever" and ask anyway, they are quoted a $10,000 price. They haven't gotten any takers yet.
