Wanted to see if anybody else has this problem.
About a week ago, the interior lights started just staying on all the time. I figured it was a problem with one of the switches that contacts the door when it's closed, so I just pulled the fuse for the time being.
Now, last night around midnight, the horn just started going off for no reason. It just stayed on until I pulled the + battery cable.
Anybody else had these problems?
Thanks,
Dan

Hey.. Plugerville... My grandmother lives in McDade, alot of relatives in Lexington, and some even in Plf, itself..
that's off-topic, though..PM me to talk about that..
The horn.. uhm.. there is a spring, in the steering wheel itself, that if it brakes, the horn DOESN'T work.. easy fix... my thoughts are... it is possible to BREAK and NO HORN.. is it possible to WEDGE somewher, and give you CONSTANT horn?
jsut a simple GUESS here, is all
Hopefully someone else will chime in..
Ray

I have a similar problem with the interior light. If I start my car before the dome light shuts off then it stays on instead of going out automatically. At the same time that happened, my intermittent wipers and my rear defrost stopped working. Anyone know the cause? Thought it might be some sort of fuse under the hood? I haven't really looked into correcting it though.

My interior lights began staying on several months ago - took it in for waranty repair and they changed something called a "dimmer module" or "dimmer timer" (relying on several months old memory here!). The lights just began staying on again and I'm wondering if anybody knows where this device is located so I can just change it myself rather than leave the car in the shop for another day (even though it's still under waranty).

Right b4 my mom sold her 96 taurus her dome light waz staying on. I fixed it by pulling the relay, who needs dome lights anyways? The taurus also had previous problems with the radio wiring(somehow connected to parking pawl thingy). Ford dealer also screwed up the cruise control.

Timer module, which plugs into the bottom of interior fuse panel (before it's flipped down), would be culprit for some of above posts. This device provides the delay circuit for rear defrost, interior lights and intermittent wipers as well as a being the "brain" for a bunch of other electrical features.
Dimmer switch on 99+ cars apparently had contact added which allows footwell lights to be turned on with doors closed.
Dan C.: Pulling horn relay will get you mobile and quiet pending diagnosis and fix.
