As for the coating that Dtec. uses: it's great! My filter is cool to the touch even after hard driving. Equally as important, my CTA pipe stays much much cooler than any surrounding metal.
As for their product: Chad and Alex make a shield that would take me 4-5 tries just to size it as well as they have! Let alone testing of coating products! They did some good R&D! Although it's a simple product with a simple task, it does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well!
