I too bought my car when it was dirty. During the week the dealer had it before I picked it up they detailed it and found out the paint was bad on the trunk lid and roof. Same deal, cracked clear coat. As I had purchased a paint sealer the dealer said that they'd have to see if Ford would pay for a repaint, otherwise the sealer would be a waste of money. Car had 69K miles on it and Ford wouldn't pay. So, I found this Turtle Wax called Color Cure or something like that. My car is black and so's this wax. There's also a little crayon like thing with the wax for scratches. After a few waxings the cracks in the paint have pretty much disappeared. At best it's a Band-Aid fix but whatcha gonna do?
