Yes. I have yet to perform surgery on my inner fender lip yet. The right side is worse than the left. The hood sticks up the entire length. The left side only has a slight bulge.
I've been tweeking the inner fender lips but am not going to smash them any more than they are now.
2 things additional I did; reverse the struts so that the shaft end is connected to the hood hinge (instead of the strut body connected to the hood hinge) and place little tiny bits of foam insulation at the points of contact. I still have 2 places where contact may occur, the ball end at the hood hinge touches the fender lip, and the fender bolt under the strut, close to where you had to drill the hole.
BTW, thanks Redline Tuning for addressing my concerns. As you can see, I'm not the only person with this clearance problem. I will still keep the kit since it is a very nice convenience feature.
