As we have written in the other thread, this kit works flawlessly and without any clearance or gas-strut pressure issues. Our gas-struts were designed with the correct pressure to lift and hold the hood from the angle we designed into it. We actually chose to use the quality strut we did, instead of a bolt in replacement, in order to achieve our design goals. We have designed this kit from the ground up to work on the Contour.
Installation time is short - maybe a half hour if you take your time and read the instruction manual. Please order one to test on your Contour, or contact us with specific questions regarding the kit.
