$16.50!!! ROTFLMAO! I had two 12" Thunder 4000's for a long time and they were pretty good, for the money. IIRC, I got 'em from Circuit City buy-one-get-one for 50 bucks for the pair. Not too bad for a simple sub. Still, for $16.50 I'd get 'em!

the blue thunder extreme is a good sub. hits real hard and has fairly good SQ for being such an SPL oriented subwoofer.

I used to run nothing but Cerwin Vega subs.
I have had probably 15-20 Vega model subs.
And switched to MTX.
I now run nothing but MTX8000's
They dont blow as much as vegas, are sound alot better for my use.

But, for hard knock deap as hell bass, nothing beats 2 12" vegas in a death box. (drools) I dont like having an extra 300 lbs in my trunk though. hehe.

True... the Blue Thunders were actually a bit better sub than the JL W1 series for folks wanting more loud boom. The SQ was very close to the W1. I had a single 10" Blue Thunder and had a 10W1 to compare it to and tried about 88 watts and 250 watts and the sound quality was very very similar but with the 250 watts, the Blue Thunder would really get going while the JL saw very little difference between the two amps.

Every once in a while, you'll see brand new old stock on eBay for next to nothing. For someone wanting an excellent $15 or $20 sub for sound quality, this could be the very best deals going. I'd recommend the 10" over the 12" though.

It is atleast a 6000. The 4000 model didnt come with that style cone. It may even be a 8000.
But either or, it will probably sound pretty good in that box, aslong as it is the correct box for it.

and if you dont like it, I'll buy it from ya. im planning my box design around 1 more 10"-

If I dont like it I'll pm you, to sell it to you. I said it was a 6000 becuase of the cone style and I doubt he'd sell a 8000 for that cheap. I would've asked all the questions I had before I bought it, but it had the buy it now option and I know by the time I got a response it would have been sold, and I would have been kicking myself for missing out on it.
