Just wondering if any of you CEG-ers have tried this oldie but goodie for PC.

Sports Car GT was and is still pretty bad ass for its time. I still consider it one of the best PC racing sims out, though its several years old. Less flash, more realism. Old school FIA GT series style w/ McLaren F1GTR's, CLK GTR's, Saleen Mustangs, 993 style 911 GT2's & 3's... fun fun.

The gaming community for the game is huge. There are thousands of new cars to download, third party patches to add visual car damage & customized dashboards for the cars, and new tracks being made every day. Modified .exe's have been made to support totally new car classes like Touring cars, Rally racers, Drag racers... etc.

Anyone play this besides me?

played it, have it.... still got the game and box..

I've got it. I installed patches, add-ons, tracks, etc. The AI pissed me off to no end. You could pull stuff off on some of the tracks that was unfathomable. On the realism scale it is above the Need for Speed series, but it doesn't compare to Grand Prix Legends (older than SCGT) or even (currently free) games like Live for Speed.

I have it and think it's a really good game.

I heard Pro Race Driver was pretty decent, even tho its basically another TOCA. If you could send a CD that would be great! PM me later.

Someone PMed me a/b some cars, here's an example of one of my personal favs I downloaded.

The only problem w/ the cars is that some people get a hold of them and edit their stats so that there's no competition (a GT3 car running w/ 700hp for example). You need something like VEdit3.0 to re-fix the cars to run as somewhat-equals if you want to keep things interesting.

I always like Sportscar GT. It is a Kick-ass lan-party game.

GP Legends? Hope you like devoting a big chunk of time to get good at it....
