I'm removing the door panels to replace my blown out stock ones w some pioneers. I took out all the screws including the 3 covered by the little plastic pieces. I'm trying to pry the door off but it still seems to be connected, somewhere in the center of the door, possibly in the door handle/window control/lock area. Should I just keep yanking this thing till it comes off? I'm afraid to break something. Also, do i disconect the auto locks and windows when pulling off the door panel? I'm assuming I do. One more question, once I get the door panel off and am ready to replace the speaker, will I need any additional wiring or connections? or can I just hook it up simply.

Obviously I've never installed car speakers, any help will be much appreciated. I did some searching first but I couldn't find anything that really addressed my questions.

thank you, johnny svt

You didn't state this explicitly, so I feel I have to ask: did you remove the window and power lock controls? You need to remove the door handle plastic bezel screw, then pull out unit and disconnect the switches. Its been over a year since I took off my door panels, so I'm not exactly sure what you're missing besides that.

Thanks for the help, i think w that link I should be able to get the speakers in. However I think that I might need a new speaker wire harness. I went to BestBuy to get them but those idiots couldnt tell me which of the 3 models of wiring harness that fit ford I needed without taking the door panel off and everything. Does anyone know what part or model number the csvt requires? Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Best Buy pisses me off, Johnny svt
