I'm new here, and it's because a mechanic friend of mine is going to put a new rack and pinion in my '95 Contour, and he needs an idea how to do it. It is so tight underneath he can't pull it out the side. He was going to lower the subframe, but one of the two bolts that goes into the frame was so tight and rusted he was scared it would bust. Can anyone tell us the easiest way to replace the rack & pinion? thanks.
