Second opinion about the Duratecperformance.com MAF adapter here. I've recently put one in mine and noticed something not mentioned; that the MAF adapter has convexed sealing surface when looking from the gasket side.
To me this is smart engineering on their part. The piece is composite so when it's bolted up to cast metal MAT manifold, it will conform to the straight seal surface of the metal piece. With the clamping bolts at the four corners, this will ensure that the sealing pressure is evenly distributed on the seal surface.
Does this make sense or am I on the fringe of sensibility/rationality/..,
