Here is my $0.05 worth. I recently took the advice of the collective wisdom of this forum and installed the recommended K&N intake system. It consisted of the 7inch K&N filter, the MAF adapter by Duratecperformance.com. And $60 all together.
I have to tell you that I'm very pleased with the install - 15 minutes, the sound - no difference under light throttle but growl under heavy throttle and apparent fuel economy increase. Another person riding with me commented that it sounded like 5.0L Mustang but a bit quieter. Very happy.
