Thanks for the tip.  I'll try that when starting. Another question - my trans has a little bit of seepage at the top - noticed it the other night when looking down into the engine - nothing major - no fluid noticable on the sides or bottom, just top - garage floor bone dry. Is this anything to worry about?

If its near the rev light swith its ok, the breather is part of the switch, anywhere else is a leak....

How often are the Trans. oil changes?

Ford has no specified change interval. I change mine every 30,000 miles. Terry, what's your opinion?

Depends on use,area,temps etc...I'm inclined to say every couple of years at least.

After I switched from normal fluid to Mobil 1 my trans started griding and upon high revs the trans would not let me shift into the gears. I will be switching back to normal Dextron III when I get a chance...
