Well i was thinking that maybe they felt that their Nameplates are too exclusive to be in a game (which is really snooty and silly if true) You have to win the GT40s  I dont know what race to run to win them , so if you know , tell me!!

It looks like GT4 is gonna be even more limited for cars. like only 90 or less car driveable. Plus they seem to have about 250 cars or so, but most are not drivable. It sounds like they keep making it look better but making the car selection smaller and smaller. Also there was another Ford car, the XR8, although not an American design, mos def a Ford. Its under Tickford the old Performance Australian Ford name. And its one of the best car IMHO in the game.

Car's are put in the game based upon Company Sponsorship. Manufacturers pay X amount of dollars to get their car's in these games, because to them, it's advertisement. Hundreds of Millions of car fan's driving these cars all around the world. The "classic" cars where done for pure nostalgic reasons. It's all about money, X amount buys you X amount of cars. Hence why these car's don't show damage when you smash into a wall.. What kind of advertisement is it for Audi when you see an S4 with a hood through the windshield. Cougar and Mondeo were axed because Ford didn't see fit to include them. They included their "big sellers".. the Focus, Taurus, Mustang.. the top sellers and that's it.. especially with plans to cancel certain models.. last thing Ford is going to do is through a cancelled car in the list (ie: Cougar)

if i read the article on IGN there should be about 1000 cars in the game

I just read the latest stuff and it says 500+. I didn't look at the latest info. It looks pretty good though. The New York and Paris tracks seem cool.
