You can buy something at Target or KMArt and return it at Walmart.
Why?
Because they hire people off the short bus (myself included)
I don't think you have to worry. They were obviously toast, and Walmart managers generally have no backbones so anything goes.
While you are at it, get a 27" TV out of the dump and exchange it for a new one
