I got the same speakers you're talking about. Got them for $56 too. My friend were laughing at me becuase they thought that since they were in wal-mart that had to be garbage. They were a nice improvement over the factory speakers though. A bit lacking in bass, but thats what a sub is for. That's next on my to do list

Dont buy any. Its easy enough to make your own with some crimp spade connectors They fit into the stock plug nicely.

I got a head unit that had been returned as broken to another store and then taken to another and put up as new. The unit never worked and 2 hours later it was taken back. This was Best Buy (not true!!!!) so I can see where they just don't give a rats azz and sell you some broke azz sh!t.

I'm thinking you bought a pair of speakers that were already abused/returned. I'm sure Wal-Mart doesn't test speakers before putting them back...they probably don't even look in the box.
I work at Wal-Mart in the automotive/tle and I have seen quite a few returns that were either broken, missing parts, and sometimes not even the same thing that was in the box when it was new. We never put them back out for sale unless we check everything out first. On the ones that are missing things our manager lets us buy them REAL cheap. I got a 8" bass canon for $5 and a brand new pioneer cd deck with two 6x9's and to 6's for $80 only missing the plastic wrap around the deck. Quote:
If you bought them at WAlmart you don't need a receipt, because they are idiots
Not ALL Wal-Mart employees are idiots, just MOST.

Look here. Crimp these on the wire coming from the speakers, and they will plug into the factory speaker connector in the door.

Any idea of what gauge wire to use? I guess it would be easy to use two male and two female crimp type connectors! Good idea!
