I am not a expert on car audio.. but i would guess they "used" the cables to the rear speakers and installed the extra sound in the back... Is that how people usually do ???

P.S. I know I do not have rear sound (on the back doors i mean) because whenever I play with my radio controlling the fade ins I have sound on the front doors and the trunk...
