If you get SVT struts, you'll need post-98 springs to go with them. SVT softened the front springs (along with the front swaybar) to tune out some understeer, but made the struts a tad stiffer than on your early SE.

If you don't want to lower your car or go wild, an SVT strut/spring package would be a great choice. You might even find some lightly used sets in the classifieds.
