By the way, no Focus, or SVT Focus, is going to touch an SVT Contour on the highway, not a chance (stock or slightly modded). It's got the aerodynamics of a barn door. You won't even outrun a Zetec Contour (.28cd) on the highway. Maybe a Focus would beat a SVT Yugo... maybe...

That front bumper is almost as low as an SVT with a splitter btw, so keep that in mind if you are looking at that bumper.

Jerseycat, if you have photoshop 7 and want some tips PM me, and I'll be more than happy to help you out

I'm willing to bet I know of a Focus that will stomp any SVT Contour's butt in a heartbeat.

Okay, we have the meguiar's focus, which isn't a focus aside from the stickers on the front that resemble the focus' headlights. There are the WRC cars, again, none of us owns one. There is a wagon hitting 8s with the engine turned sideways and turbo'd to hell, so it's not really a focus anymore. You have Tom's Turbo Focus, which is hitting 12s in the 1/4 with so much tuning and cash into it it's insane. You have the Terminator Cobra Focus, once again, it's not really a Focus anymore. Same goes for the rest of the V8s.

They will stomp a CSVT... but mine won't, neither will 95% of the Foci on the road, including the FSVTs. They are low speed tight course cars, they can outhandle the CSVT. The CSVT has a huge power advantage, and the weight penalty is much less than many think, fully loaded FSVTs aren't light by any means.

Credit where credit is due.

Blury, let me know the next time you go to TIR. I'll go with you. 16.1 isn't under 15 seconds but is good for mid - high 15s at a normal track. SVTs are not high 16 cars. Not even at TIR. Though I have seen it happen. Good run.
