You live in Fleetwood.
Fleetwood is $$$ for rent.

The closer you are to transportation and the NYC border, the more $$ you pay for rent.
Since Fleetwood has a Metro North Railroad station, all of the apartments within 1/2 mile of the station are $$$.

Before I bought my house, 5 years ago, I had a three bedroom apartment off of Mount Vernon Avenue.
I was paying $850/month when I decided that it was time to stop paying rent and buy a house.
You can find lots of Condos and Co-ops in lower Westchester, that are reasonable.
It is cheaper to pay a mortgage, and get your taxes and interest deductions.
It will be tough the first year, but after you get your Tax Refund, it gets a lot easier
just as long as you use the refund to pay your rent, and not to fund your Contour upgrades...
