Hey NorMich99SE I used to live in TC. Anyway, animals like to get in there and chew things because of the road salt that gets on everything. Keep the underhood area clean. I used to have problems with a porcupine getting in there and chewing my hoses and belts because they tasted salty. Also try putting a single moth ball under there, animals hate the smell.
