i noticed when shopping for ground control coilovers that dealers sell either two different sets, or specify which struts you are running....when selling two different sets, they have one that is made to be run with your stock struts....what is the deal here? i was under the impression that the coilovers were too stiff for anything other than koni.....are these coilovers not as stiff? they appeal to me cause i want a minimal drop......thanks

Same Eibach springs are used for both versions.

Apparently, the diameter of the springs to fit around the strut (stock or Konis) is different. Although when I examined both versions, I saw no visual difference.

Why waste the time and money to do 2 installs?
Some people have had bad experiences with GCs + any strut other than Koni.
Others have reported no problems with GCs + any other strut.

McMaster's beefier bearings are a must with GCs.

Camber kit is a good idea, too - especailly if you plan to run low.

make sure the inside tire sidewalls are not rubbing on the springs before you road test.

IIRC the difference is the D-Rings at the bottom of the coilover kit, and that's the reason for specifying which struts you're installing on.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

you will need 2 Bearings and 4 Washers. The part number for the bearings is: 5909K35 and the part number for the washers is: 5909K48
