Im pretty sure with a turbocharger the FSVT would kick the hell out of the SRT-4.

or with a cobra engine. . .I'm really considering getting a next gen fsvt and then dropping the 40k on the cobra engine, putting out 500hp in that car, that's a FUN hatchback project!!!!

and you miss the point that the SVT Focus was selling for under 14k at the end of the 2002 if you're a good enough shopper. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what the SVT team will do to make sure the FSVT is competitive in the market next year.

Ahhh, Try 70K!
I raced against ATI's 2003-Cobra-driveline-equipped Focus two weekends ago at an AutoX here in SE MI. That thing is sick! Talk about fast!
He was 5 seconds faster than me on a 40ish second track. That's just nuts.
PS I would take a turboed FSVT over an SRT-4 anyday. Those things are fugly.

The SVT Foci I've seen in person I like, but your SVT seems way too tall in the rear. Lower it now!

I agree with Stazi! Have you looked at the interior of the SRT-4? It looks really cheap! I sat in one at the Detroit Auto show and was really disappointed. I know that the engine is bad ass and everything, but I think the Focus is a MUCH more refined car. In fact, I got my Cobra out of storage on Saturday and was kind of disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the power F%@#ing rocks, but it's just not as "tight" as the Focus. Maybe I should just swap engines and drivetrains! Andreas

Nice car man... although I like the 5 door better You should look into RS headlamps for that bad boy, and lose the grille mounted signal lights in the process (a dream of mine... a dream that costs $500. Instead I am soon going to mutilate my stock headlamps to incorporate turn signals inside the housing. Should cost me $10 and possibly not look like crap... stay tuned
