hahah...the funniest thing about this is that usually the person responsible is only saving a keystroke or two.
for example:
2 versus to - one keystroke
sum versus some - one keystroke
wat versus what - one keystroke
must i go on?

Actually that phrase comes from L33T (short for elite) which originally started as an alternate form of internet language used only by hackers. Now a lot of people use it but mostly you will see oWNZ jOO used in shoot em games online like quake, unreal tournament etc. That said...it's still pretty stupid. Hey I'm sorta like the History Channel of useless knowledge!! weeeeeeeee

And Stazi, I've never heard "axe" instead of "ask." Where do you live?
Your joking right? It's so-called "ebonics".
I live outside of Detroit so I hear it a LOT!
PS no offense to African-Americans, but "ebonics" are a cop-out for being too lazy to speak proper English IMHO.
You must be joking. I consider "Ebonics" the same as the different dialects of the south or the northeast for that matter. If you consider "Ebonics" a lazy form of English you might as well label all the OTHER VARIATIONS of English "lazy" too.
Well I'll be damned if it isn't Anfuckintonio!! Man whats up??? I can't agree with you on the laziness pertaining to all variations of the english language. Ebonics is slang that was given a name due to so many people speaking it. Should it be taught in schools? Please . In a sense it's a variation of the english langauge, but it isn't an accent such a southern drawl, which I get to poke fun at on a daily basis. Must be hard teaching 2nd graders in GA how to spell "pen" with they pronounce it "pin". What I'm saying is, I don't think you can lump ebonics in with all accents. Ebonics is spoken WITH and accent in GA, I've been to a buttload of little towns (In Georgia) where it's almost impossible to understand what some people are saying, call me an old white guy (I'm 24), but it's a different language. You ever heard Dre and Big Boi from outkast talk? Jeezus man, now take that and imagine it on some country bastard! It's not english.
