I hate all those stupid buzz words that are used by businessmen
they drive me frickin nuts!
I had compiled a list one day of all the stupid phrases my boss uses, but have somehow misplaced it.
He also says "umm" every other word. It's like he's talking, but thinking about 3 other things while he's trying to make a point, so he distracts himself and it takes him forever to get to that damn point.
If I had balls, I'd tell him to go get some speech therapy.

"spinning your wheels" drives me nuts
"for all intents and purposes" nearly drives me over the edge.

People seem to enjoy riddling their conversations with excess words that get them nowhere fast.
I want to scratch their eyes out.

hub and hubby are also like nails on chalkboards for me.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

hahha...come to think of it, that kinda bothers me too
i thought of another one - "to each his own" god i hate that. it's like they don't want to take a stance on anything and have an opinion, so they just cop out and say "to each his own." something that really used to bother my ex (it was an intentional cop out/joke) is "i know in my heart i'm right" i still love that one...

When you're talking to someone on the phone... and they end it by saying

"Well, I'm gonna let you go."

It drives me crazy... it seems like a way of sugar coating the fact that "This is no fun anymore, I'm going to do something else."

When you ask someone a question & the 1st thing they say is "can I be honest?", or "honestly"...

No really...lie to me

Improper grammar in general: "I seen him the other day." is just one of many that drive me crazy.

"Ecspecially"

"Nucyular" makes me want to scream!

Saying "ummm" between every word.

Saying "like" before every word. "That, like, drives me, like CRAZY!"

Using buzzwords simply for the sake of using buzzwords.

Pronouncing "roof" and "root" so that it rhymes with "wood" instead of "cool". That's more personal preference than anything. Doesn't bother me all that much but it makes my wife want to scream.

I was hoping someone would mention it. My former co-worker used to say it 4-5 times per day.

Ax instead of ask. I don't have too much of a problem with creating a new meaning for a different word like most slang, but to 100% intentionally say a word incorrectly seriously annoys me.

So ummmm like what ummm are you like ummmm trying to say ?

I hate those also I also dislike when people say you know because you can almost bet it is going to be followed by like as in "you know, like that one time at band camp"

My #1 pet hate is when people say "axe" instead of "ask". I mean sh!t what is so hard about pronouncing a 3 eff'n letter word?

Like if someone said "Can I axe you something?" I feel like I should answer to them, "No thank you, I have enough firewood as it is"!

Listening to a lot of rap songs, especially Missy Elliot, make me mad. Coming from a country where we speak the "Queen's English" I find it hard to swallow some of the ridiculous sentences strung together by some people.

Also, one phrase I have seen a lot on this board is:
"I resemble that remark"

It's RESENT people. I don't give a flying toss if the previous is funnier - it's just stupid!

Also when people call a resonator, a "resignator". What's that? Something that resigns for you?
