What is to debate about? I had a CF dual fricton clutch on my Eclipse GSX and after a lengthy break in period it failed within 1000 miles. My OEM clutch took a beating and a 1/2 BEFORE the CF clutch, and the clutch that replaced that turd took a nice pounding after the break in period and took it all without any problem. Out of any clutch I have EVER had in any car/truck, CENTERFORCE was tbe very worst...period. Centerforce is way over priced for what you get. The clutch material is garbage IMO, OEM pressure plate and a warranty that isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
Spec actually has a good aftermarket pressure plate and they have clutch materials that are high quality (I'd steer clear of any Kevlar personally).
I'm the sole source for ceramic hybrid clutches for our cars (So far atleast) and even I have been debating a switch from MY clutch (Other than Spec, I'd say my clutch setup is the best choice over any other clutches out there for our cars.) to a Spec stage III. If only the stage II came with a better lining......
Bottom line, Spec SPANKS Centerforce in everyway for much less money. I am so sure of it, I'll set myself up with this post of mine
