You seem to have some good equipment so far, why not try building your own components?

For $300 I got:

Audio Control 4XS crossover on Ebay $50 to $75

Vifa PL18WO 7" mids $78

BG Neo8s $90 (they were actually less when I bought them)

That leaves you with about $60 for tweeters.

If you look hard enough you can find all sorts of good deals for speakers and put them together yourself. It's pretty rewarding to be able to piece something together and have it sound so good. I suppose however, you would have to key shipping into the equation, and you can't walk into a store to buy them.

I would imagine you could put together a really impressive 2 way component set for $300. You wouldn't need a 4way crossover either, so axe about $30 off the price up there.

If you don't like the do it yourself idea

You can get the SPX-177A for well under $300 despite it's MSRP. I was offered a set of SPX-F17T components off the display wall at the place I've shopped since I started this hobby for $500 canadian ($1,199.00 msrp), which I turned down because $500 is more than I have to spend on speakers.
