I might swap the 95 SE for an SVT in August, so I went to Progressive (whom I have my insurance with now) to get a quote. Same coverage level as now for a 99 SVT results in a *decrease* by $1...didn't think the SVT would be cheaper to insure than the SE..lol. Same with a 97 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro I looked at...$38 less per 6 months. What is up with that?

Did you have a birthday or just another few months of good history? If you are a college student, that by itself implies you have little track record as a good driver. 3 years of good driving/claims history looks better to an insurer than only 2 years, for example. Get a crash or some tickets and see what happens in the other direction.

Guess that makes sense. However, my ins. is already low, but I'm not complaining :-D
