lol, ok, I'm done playing around.
First off, wheel hop is a common problem with the contour for two reasons that I know of:
1.) flexible motor mounts.
2.) type of tire compound used.
If you put energy suspension polyurethane inserts into the front motor mount $15 and take off the rear motor mount and use liquid windshield polyurethane (like caulk and can be found at some hardware stores) you will greatly reduce the wheel-hop, but not eliminate it.
The last fix is to find a set of tires that slip in such a way that they don't hop. I didn't realize this until I tried 3 different sets of tires. First are the BFG's, they wheel hop, but its not to bad once the mounts are stiffer. Next I tried Nitto's and they bucked like a bronco! I've never had a z-rated tire with worse wheel hop or just lack of good straight-line traction. Last, I bought Falken zeix 512's and I have been happy every since! (4 months now)
When they slip they don't hop, AT ALL! and they are a z rated tire on par with the BFG GForce series with a 300 treadware and only cost about $95-$105 per tire.
This should solve most of your big traction issues so you can launch at that higher rpm you want, say 3000-3500 or so with moderate slipping of the clutch.
I don't think your spark plugs are causing you issues now, that is just a future time-bomb waiting to happen with platinum plugs and nitrous.
By the way, I ran the bosh +4's and for a while they ran great. After a while, the waste-spark ignition system in our cars eats away the electrodes and they begin to misfire. I also had more pinging when my car was stock on a hot day with the +4's then I ever did with the motorcraft double plats.
Right now I'm running NGK TR-6 plugs and they seem to be working great. That might be a good all around plug for your nitrous setup.
Does this answer you questions now?
