hmm maybe so. I guess that will give me another excuse to take it back to the track this wednesday. To a different track of course. Some of the runs I hit the rev from first to second shift like the 73MPH run I know I did. I think I might have missed second totally. What I can't understand is the consistant 74's and then cool down then the 76 and then I iced the intake then a major cool down like two hours. That is when I had the 78.1 run. Its fits together all so well. I hope I can prove you guys wrong.

Most definitely a timing malfunction.

The erratic trap speeds alone should be all the proof of that you need.

Jumping from solid 74's (which is where it should be for ~180 FWHP) to nearly 77 and then 78. All with slow 1/8 mile ET's.

Like Dave showed you those times can not be a true representation of your actual trap speed. The physics of the matter just doesn't lie.

I have a fluke time slip showing a low 14.2 Should I go around claiming that as my best time too.

You two punks can go to hell!!! I've got a slip with me running the 1/8 mile in 9.71@187.55mph, but I hit the brakes and finished with a 14.91@95mph

How much money do you think I have tied up in go fast parts???

Yes there is a bit there considering all the mods I have done in over 3 years, but not anything like a single purchase of a forced induction unit. (heck I've even beat a S/C SVT at the track before - sorry Sam )
Heck not even really close if you add in all my mods (not just the go fast parts)

I am certain some of the suspension parts hurt my straight line times too. (as did taking all the weight off the front tires)
I never wanted the car to be a drag car. Completely the opposite actually. One would be naive to actually pick this chassis for a drag car.
