What damage can having bad cats do in long and short term effects?

Bad cats will kill your mileage and can cause excessive piston blow-by if they are plugged. This can damage cylinder walls, and ruins your oil real fast which leads to premature wear of bearing sufaces. Sounds extreme but it can an will happen if the cats clog.

Florida no longer has vehicle emissions inspection. You could save yourself money and "remove" the problem....hint, hint. I had a "friend" who did this on all three cats.........um....so I've heard.

I'm going to replace mine with a high-flow magnaflow cat.

How can you tell which cat needs replaced? Since the svt's have 3.
