Hello, i was thinking of purchasing the Mirko Front Splitter for my 99 SVT Contour. I was wondering if anyone knoew where i can purchase these? Also what is the cost and how much will it be to paint it? estimates? Another thing i was wondering about is how much lower will it make my front bumper? I have lowered my car with the Eibach lowering kit. Another inch and a half? Thanks for your help CEG users!

it is not really lower....just gives the illusion because ot starts at the body's lowest point on the side of the front bumper at the wheel well and continues around in a straight line "filling in" the space underneath the grill and foglights.....the reason it feels lower cause it stick out (forward from the car) and therefore goin say into a driveway at angle that is uphill, it will hit before the rest of the car would......

In Mirko's website it shows it painted black. Does it come this way? If it does i am thinking about leaving it black because i have a black wing and am going to get black front bumper canards, also my windows are blacked out. Does anyone think this would be a cool apperance to go for? I have a red 99 SVT.

ewww no, paint that sh!t.
why would you have a black bumper and black wing for your t-red SVT...it would look way better painted body color. If you want some darkness then get some gunmetal wheels and a carbon fiber hood...
unpainted bumpers looks just plain lazy...

sorry man, you should really paint it to match the car, cause if you don't it'll.... A: just look like you weren't patient enough to get it painted and just put it on as soon as you got it.
B: look like you got it off of another guys contour that was black
C: look the opposite of how you want it to for other people and when you ride down the street you'll be lookin like this but after you pass by people will be looking like this and then they'll tell their kids that's what happens when your not patient and the kids will be like and they will use your car as an example of what not to do when they drive
i think A B and C are a pretty close call, i'm leaning more towards C though.
lol JUST KIDDIN MAN, to be honest with you, don't leave it black, take the wing off and get it painted when you get the splitter painted, trust me, it'll look sooooooo much better painted, and many people will be doing this instead of this so start makin some calls and get some quotes on prices, good luck!!

The mirko spliter can look nice, but i would think twice about adding it to your csvt since it is already lowered on eibachs. your front end will be damn low, and when you are goin in sharp dips turning into shopping plazas etc. your in trouble. Forget scraping it, its only a matter of time until you break or snap the whole piece. Good luck though, Johnny SVT

Exactly, why look like another civic ricer with the primer body kit? I never thought that was a DESIRED look.
