I took to Ford dealer .. I actually gave them a list of problems and wouldnt you know not a damn one of them got done... this was last summer. The guy was jimmying a plastic cover in the driver side handle lock area back in as i was approaching my car as i had to ask to have it back so i could go to work the next day. He said there was no power getting to the relay ( i believe for the power locks).
you are supposed to be able to push the lock all'' switch on the driver door and have all 4 locks actuate on the doors. it doesnt work on any of them.
i guess there is a fuse area back under the glove which is a real b.... to get at and work in . yeah i was in there when i was on teh phone with a ford tech about it and he was reading out of the service manual to me -- then we got to using the omhmeter to ring out something and i had to go get it and it had been a while on the phone.. anyway .. thats how it goes.. get it done or forget about it all too often...
the seller had to have the car broken into when he had his keys locked in .. so he gave me a replacement switch and i wonder if that work around there caused the whole lock system to go because perhaps it was put together hastily without making the proper connections.
Anybody else have a situation with their power locks ?
its just a car to get from pt a to b
