I'm reading that others in the past have had this. Of course a loud hum by definifion can sound like and be anything--sorry to be vague. This sound comes and goes regardless of a/c. I notice that when I increase the rpm it becomes slight to non-exsistant, really noticable at idle or slow driving (20 or 30 mph). This Contour is a V6 with almost 100,000 miles.
