I have done some searching and still havnt come up with a conclusion to my problem. A while ago I put an adaptor and filter on my 2.5 gl and it stopped running , replaced tha air box and it worked fine. No mods were made to the maf or temp sensor. Today I tried again I took off the air box with the car running and the car started sputtering ..I stuck my hand in front of the maf sensor and it started smooth again, after moving my hand it ran ok. I put the adaptor in place and it stopped running. I then bored out the adaptor to make sure there were no restrictions in front of the maf snesor, the car started and ran fine but it surges and drops to low rpms spuratically. I drove it a bit and I noticed the car is much louder than usual and I see no loss in power however when driving up a hill in town during heavy throttle it started sputtering but still no real danger but not good for that matter. Then I stopped at a stop light and it rolled to a stop ..stalled. I drove it home and popped the hood. everything seems like it should be fine and I dont see the problem. There is a very loud humming/buzzing noise coming from the intake ...can anyone help diagnose this problem?
