What the heck.

I had slowed for a 90 degree right-hander today, was in neutral, about to shift into second, when I just happen to notice I COULDN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL!! AND GUESS WHAT? JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT, MY BRAKE PEDAL TURNED INTO A LUMP OF CEMENT! Gee, is that a traffic island I'm approaching? I wrestle the dead steering wheel a little to the left, just barely miss the curb of the island, and mashed my brake pedal with both feet. The car stops. Never mind that I am now blocking a "exit only" lane.

I didn't even notice my car stalled- until I looked at the tach after I popped the hazards on (I did have the radio on). It just quietly stalled- no sense of a struggling engine through the pedals or steering wheel. I Restarted, reversed, and went home. Didn't stall again.

What if this had happened on the highway, like braking for a jam ahead or something?

I did a search and many, many people have had stalling problems. Not a clear solution yet. Or is there?

I've had the same problem when taking very hard turns while accelerating, or when I take it up to the redline in 1st shift into 2nd real quick and don't get back on the gas. I haven't had the problem since I took my TH fix. Just wondering if you did the TH fix. I would also like to know what going on.

No TH fix.

Car was traveling at about 15-20 mph, maybe less (I had slowed, then went to turn). Shifter was in neutral, with my foot down on the clutch.

Maybe something to do with the heat, it felt about 85-90 with medium humidity, but I didn't have the a/c on.
