I am taking it back Monday but would like to hear some ideas to what has happened before this place gets tired of me.

YOU should be the one getting tired of them! I've been an ASE Cert. mechanic for ten or so years, and I'm surprised you put up with so much sloppieness. Mechanics that sloppy cannot thrive well in this world. It's just not good business. I can see them getting one little clip or something misplaced on a tranny swap of this caliber, but the big fat list of things they slipped up on, on yours, is INCREDIBLE! You need to find a different mechanic. Trust me, it's not worth the money you think you might be saving. Find somebody certified, and ask to see their certificates. You need to see the shop's credentials before you trust them with your car.
