So far I'm still using the stock pump though I have t high pressure 255lph walbro pump at home, AND the 155lph vortech pump at home that I want to sell, both meant to replace the supposedly weak stock pump.
It true the stock pump won't support high pressures, mine makes gowling noises at fuel pressures above 65psi. However, my air fuel is spot on even up to 7000 rpm according to my new turbo graphs. So volume at the stock pressures of 55psi WOT seems to not be an issue. To be fair, my pump supported up to 80psi for a couple of hours one time, I tried the old screw in the regulator trick and to bump pressure, but I forgot to provide a vent for it and when it got hot the air pressure in it rose so high as to keep the regulator shut. Thats when it started to growl and grind. I keep thinking it will die any day now, but nope!
