Anyone know what the BOV stands for... i wasn't for sure! But i agree... with just about everyone... without more information, how can you know what you're getting! And if that's what the guy replyed with... in question to the Turbo's features and what not... that's pretty lame if you're trying to sell someone a 4G product ! I would love to get the Vortec SC, but a buddy of mine (PHATSVT) had lots of problems with his...(could be because he's an idoit!) j.k SAM~ ~~~ Aww here's a question, anyone know the TRUTH to this rumor i've heard. ~~~~ Superchargers are better for starting power.. and they give it to you right off the line, since they deal directly with the Engine, as opposed to the Turbo, that takes a few seconds to kick in, since it deals with cooling and Air??? I'm to poor to buy either one, i was just wondering!!!

BOV = Blow Off Valve. It is a pressure relief valve that vents to the atmosphere rather than back into the intake system ala a Bypass Valve (what "should" be used in a metered air system)

Roots style superchargers like an Eaton give you power right off the line. Like 4psi at 1800 rpms. Centrifigul(sp?) superchargers like the Vortech are far from that. They gain boost with engine rpm and reach full boost at redline. Turbos are good because they don't waist horsepower like a supercharger that is driven from the crank. The roots blower may get boost quicker than a lot of turbos, but they also use something like 30hp to drive at high rpms.

You think this turbo kit is no show. How about the 19 year old{Jagular} that is working on a turbo kit, ATI procharger kit and a whipple charger kit at the same time. Things that make you go hmmm. I will believe it when I see it. As far as carsons kit he just had a person with bad communication skills touting stuff that he knows nothing about. I think he actually hurt the company with the 2.5 kit more than he helped it. One post he was talking about selling his car asking high teens for it and then next thread he asks whats the next piece I should get to make it hook up.

I'm sorry, but you've got issues if your main concern regarding a turbo kit is looks...
If that's the case, why dontcha just get the fake intercooler and BOV combo. Hell, it'll look nice, and it'll be way cheaper than any turbo kit.

Here's more from this guy: "Just wait....itsturbos kit will outperform SF's kit, this should be known within two weeks. Theres been so many wrong things in that kit its crazy those cars even made it 20 miles without blowing up! Note: Wrong injectors, no inline fuel pump, wrong turbo, in our opinion we think the chip was not correct either.....hence thats why they went for the small injector size to compensate for not figuring out the eec tuning for the correct injector size(42lbs). Im sure theres more but without buying the kit and tearing it apart no telling what else is wrong! " Um...doesn't kingers 3l beast use 42lbs injectors, and weren't they said to be too big?? I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't heard a single complaint form anyone regarding streetflight and their turbo kit. Supposedly 2 other people have blown motors other than warmonger - and we know why he blew the ring. I am thoroughly confused. Originally posted by Buckshot77: IIRC, this is the guy going around bashing the Streetflight kit over on NECO. I beleive his name is NayNay over there. Look under there forced induction forum and you can read up on it.
In any case, you might want to research into it first as it is still in development as far as I know and I'm not very impressed with NayNay's selling skills.

Actually running the larger injectors is not a good idea. You come up with a lot of drivability problems and bad efficiency since the majority of the time they are running at very sub par duty cycle.
Chris is running 30lb injectors and Tom is running 36lb injectors respectively. Their power numbers are well known. The injectors are not tasked in either case (especially Tom's)
Now running 42lb injectors to make much less peak HP (and peaky it will be with their stated turbo but that's another story) is serious overkill 90% of the time!
The ignorant crack about ease of tuning to run smaller injectors really shows the lack of knowledge on their part. The smaller injectors were picked for a specific reason. They supplied more than enough fuel (as well dyno proven and tested) and give great drivability and efficiency the other majority of the time you are not in heavy boost.
Tuning the A/F is tuning the A/F regardless of injector sizing. Intentionally picking oversized injectors for the application is what shows lack of tuning/design ability.
As for the fuel pump remark.
The stock return style pump can support around 240-250FWHP. Yes upgrading is probably a good idea.
The stock returnless pump can support at least 300 FWHP (the 19lb injectors can not, but we've previously touched on that)
However the pickup screens are suspect. Yes upgrading is probably a good idea, but shown not to be necessary.
However NOT with an inline pump.
Upgrading the in-tank pump is the correct way to go about this. It's also the only option you want to use for a returnless application since the PCM controls the in-tank pump via voltage!
