I would not rule out the fuse yet....I ran into a problem when my head lights would not turn on. I thought it was bad wiring or a buld....turns out it was the fuse under the hood. The fuses on these cars are tricky....sometimes you encounter a fuse that you think controls a few things, but it really only controls one thing.
