Cleaning will entail taking off the TB for the most thorough job. One thing that differed on my 98 SVT, that I didn't read in any of the How-To guides, was to use a 10mm deep socket to remove the 4 nuts on the TB. The one I read even said 8mm but it wasn't even close. The lower-right nut absolutely needs a deep socket to get to...no other way around it. I found this out after I had the MAF off.
