There is no time limit on this - this will be a production piece. It is not feasible to do a Group Buy since I doubt many people would be in on this. Kaotic will have the kit ready (i'm doing a front end conversion on my pre98) so if you choose to do so you can order it with the c27.

Pricing will be available after we do the build up next week.

Umm, hello... that was me.
that's a good idea going there... I'm sure there are a few that want to do this, but not me... I like the front end of the pre-98.

We havn't exactly figured out what we are going to include in the kit - after the prototype I can better assess the damages

Our kit will definatly be cheaper than you going to Ford and buying the fenders, brackets and all that fun stuff.

Yes, but will it be at or around the price of the GB price? Becase, honestly, with the way things are right now, it'd take me a bit to scrounge up the money for the whole thing if it's gonna be as expensive as I think.

tell you what...here's what I'm willing to set up

If the conversion kit is sucessful - we will change your order to the c27+ body kit at the GB price instead of you having to buy the c27- kit. So you will get the 98+ four piece kit for $650! Deal? This is only open to those who buy the conversion kit - the 98+ GB is over but if you have a pre98 and purchase the conversion kit we will sell you the c27+ kit for $650.

Hey nyceboi, this is a good idea for all of those who want to convert their pre98 look to a post98. But why are you doing it? why would you want both your tours to look the same? i thought you said earlier that you guys were going to come out with a pre98 hood that's a little different than the v1hood. Also, i think it may be cheaper or better if we (pre98) just look at developing some morette headlights or some projector style ones that fit our cars. I have always loved the clear headlights of the 98+, but i love the lines and look of the pre98 better (i just hate the cloudy looking yellow tinged aerospace plastic covers on the headlights). think about this and talk it over with the Kaotic group, cuz you gotta think about originality and keeping with the pre98 look and also about the $$$.

For example:
98+ (v1hood) = pre98 hood (to be developed) in $
98+ headlights (from ford) = newly developed pre98 headlites
(or hopefully close)
c27+ = c27- in $
but conversion kit would be extra $$$ (so it would cost more!)
This way, both your tours would be unique and different. Instead of looking the same.
just my .02
