what if you were to rebuilt the cd4e (duratec) with the zetec gearing, and zetec torque convertor... with the torgue convertor being smaller and lighter plus with faster gearing this could help out alot with our cars...

You can't use the ZETEC Torque Converter on the Duratec. The differences aren't there just because of the engines. The differences are there because of the Torque Converter Housing (Bell Housing), and the physical differences in the Torque Converters.
You still need all of the DURATEC parts if you are planning on mating the CD4E to a DURATEC. If you want to use a smaller Torque Converter, then you will need to get yourself a smaller DURATEC Torque Converter.
