Again that's what I thought.
I now own an SRT-4, and I just spent my first $180 on a TurboXS HP DSBC which should put me in the mid 13's. There are several folks over on SRTForums already running mid 13's with 1, yes ONE, $180 mod. Call it what you want.... but I'll show you my tail lights any time. 
On a side note, I'm embarassed to see some of the comments on this board lately. Being a 'non-contour' owner now. Couple that with owning the car that can hand a boxter S it's ass (making it the mosted hated on car on the block, which is great). All this net hating going on and yet, I've never even had one person say one bad thing to me about it in person. In fact I have at least one person a day ask me 15 questions about it and then want a ride. Deal with it or get something faster if you can't.

Bro, I dont make downgrades in life. Who is hating on the SRT-4? Umm, not me. I could give two shits about the car. When I look at one all I see is very fast NEON. No thanks in my book. As I get older in life my ass driving a modded is not a goal I want to acheive.
As of right now the SVT fits my needs. It can hold its own in speed. MY car turns heads everywhere. I can live with the build quality for now until I am able to afford a better built car.
The question is why would I spend 20k on very fast bucket of bolts, P.O.S that will be breaking down in a year? THe time of the Econo hot rods are thier way out my friend. IMHO build quality comes first for me, then we can talk speed.
Have fun and make sure you have enough leave time beacuse you will be seeing the dealership often.
