First of all I gotta applaud you to come bashing just to sell your own product.
I don't know if you have read his post but, Craig was saying "you start to run any thing mre than 2 degrees you have problems with the half shafts inward and outward plunge" The only springs which would effect the camber by more than negative 2 degrees would be the Ground control coil overs at the lowest setting... The toe setting is the biggest reason that tires get ruined after lowering the car the factory max tollerence for the camber in the front is -1.7 and I beleive that by dialing 1 degree positive with the control arms will bring the camber to the factory range with any springs for the contour/cougars...
Coming here and saying that I am trying to sell tubular control arms that don't work just to sell your camber kits it just stupid...
For some reason I didn't bookmark this topic so I forgot about it and came across it again today....
The method of adjusting camber that you are suggesting is basically asking for trouble, regardless of what angle you are trying to achieve. Even to dial in 1° of camber would require a large reduction in the swing arm distance, i.e. pulling the wheel in towards the car. Hence why I was warming people against using that method of camber adjustment.
The camber plates I have, tilt the wheel by shifting the position of the top of the strut and therefore require less movement to reach the desired angle.
I'm an axle shaft engineer, hence why I was so aggressive about this issue.
I must admit I am bitter about my Camber Kit GB though as I was stood up on a bunch of kits after people PROMISED they would buy them if I got them.
But essentially you misunderstand my reasoning for posting the response that I posted.
Stiffer lower A-Arms would be desirable though, so creating a tubular lower A-Arm with the same geometry would be great.
Be careful though, if you intend on selling suspension products that you have manufactured yourself, make sure you have VERY good insurance and a lawyer because if an A-Arm where to fail and end up killing someone you would be a a world of sh!t.
