I have a 96 GL with 2.0 lit(Zetec) and A/C and recently I noticed that belt is squeeling when cold.Reading some previous posts and from some of my (limited)experience I think it is tensioner that is going bad...
What kind of tools are required and any spec. instructions? Is it straight forward bolt on part that has that tensioner arm+pulley on it?
On some of my previous car there was a mark where tensioner arm should be (small arrow or similar). Is there something on Contours similar to this? And finally how hard/soft should that serpentine belt be? Mine was replaced under warranty once at around 40000kms. Now I have 77000kms...
