I think you need to spend some time at
www.filmfodder.com. To me the plot is just as deep as ever and those who walk away disappointed, really don't truly know what's going on. No offense, but I felt the same way when I left the theater until I started digging in to it. It's a great film and the action scenes are secondary to the underlying theme of the movie.
