and performance=the capabilities of the car; from acceleration, to top speed, to handling, to braking, and in this day and age maybe even how loud the stereo is.

BTW, the earlier post about the firewall - well, I been thinking about that and don't get it - what firewall has to do with the whole idea - the limitation of undesired movement of struts is mainly the movement to the sides and not the back and forth movements.... ?

Having the firewall close to the front strut towers makes them very rigid against side to side motion. The rear towers, on the other hand, are not nearly as rigid...

I suggest installing a rear strut tower brace first - I have one and it truly did make a subtle though discernable difference in handeling (car feels tighter during sharp turns). As an added benefit it also reduced the various squeeks and body noises (my eight year old car!).

Take your car to a road track...I think you'll notice the difference. I actually played around while I was at the track...ran for a while with the SHO shop, changed to OMP (frontthat is), by the way, I can't tell the difference between the SHO amd OMP on the track. OMP has a better cool factor though...and no I've never broken the struts running the SHO SHOP.
I then removed the SHO shop rear for a few laps....very noticable difference....
I doubt if anyone could notice anything driving on the street with any of them though. I know I can't..
But then I'm old and feeble!
