Last year this time I had to replace the switch/fan for my air conditioning and heater. it cost me nothing because it was a recall. This weekend it went crazy, sometime it worked sometime it didn't. Today after turning it off it would not work but after awhile it worked. If this recall has to be replaced is it still considered a recall for the 2nd time. It's on a 98 ford contour......Please help me, this car is costing us thousands of dollars.

Any work done under warranty is covered for 12/12 so if it has been less than 12 months AND less than 12,000 miles, you might still be covered. If the same item failed that was involved in the recall you should be covered. If it is something new, you may not be.

Also it depends on the recall. Have your dealer check OASIS to see if this is still an open item on your car. Or you can post the VIN here and somone with access to OASIS will probably run it for you.
